Our Aircraft Fleet

Coolest fleet in town!
Cessna U206G Stationair

SFA has two of these versatile little bushplanes: C-GGRU & C-GGPW. We run both aircraft year-round; on straight floats in the summer months and on either regular wheels, tundra tires or skis in the winter.

The 206 has a maximum passenger capacity of 4.

The 206 payload ranges from 475 lbs to 800 lbs. on floats, and from 650 lbs to 1000 lbs. on wheels, depending on fuel load required. Powered by a Continental IO520 or IO550 engine, the 206 cruises at about 120 knots with a maximum range of about 600sm.

DeHavilland DHC-2 Beaver

SFA operates one Beaver (C-FDIN) during the summer months in support of tourist operations, charters and on our scheduled service.

The Beaver is one of the most famous Canadian bushplanes with its reliability, good load-hauling capability and short takeoff and landing (STOL) characteristics.

The DHC-2 has a maximum passenger capacity of 6.

The Beaver's payload ranges from 975 lbs. to 1,200 lbs. depending on fuel load required. It's maximum range is about 260sm and its Pratt & Whitney R-985 radial engine moves it along at about 110 knots.

DeHavilland DHC-3T Turbo Otter

The DHC-3T Turbo Otter is the workhorse of the SFA fleet! The Turbo Otter is used extensively across all types of flights: charters, tourist work, cargo and scheduled service.

The Turbo Otter has the capability of carrying large and bulky loads, including plywood, fuel drums, building materials, lumber up to 16' in length, caskets, and some snowmachines/four-wheel ATV's (depending on model). We are also approved to carry external loads, with some restrictions.

The Turbo Otter can carry payloads up to 2,600 lbs.and has a maximum passenger capacity of 9.

The reliable and powerful 750-hp Pratt & Whitney PT6A-34 turbine engine powers the Turbo Otter with cruise speeds up to 133mph over a maximum range of about 580sm.
