Winter 2009

Safety Tips for winter flying

You should be mindful of your environment when flying in the winter. The places we fly are isolated, often without the services you would expect in a larger community; therefore, some forethought and planning is wise. Always dress according to the weather; it is winter in Northern Ontario and your dress should reflect that. A warm coat, boots, hat and mitts or gloves are a must for your own safety.

Safety Reminders

Always pay close attention to your pilot's cabin safety briefing and take the time to read through the safety features cards before you depart. Some safety information you will be reminded of include:

  • Seatbelts must remain fastened at all times up until the aircraft comes to a complete stop at the end of the flight.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on board our flights.
  • Disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • All baggage must be stored in the baggage area of the aircraft; no carry-ons allowed.

If you have any questions about safety on board your flight do not hesitate to ask your pilot! Safe flying!
